I can’t fault Wallrock and I can’t believe that people still use traditional lining paper. Time - Wallrock is Paste-the-Wall which in my opinion is far superior than Paste-the-Paper, it is quicker, less messy, and there is no soak time on the paper which means it maintains it’s rigidity for cutting. Wallrock comes in a range of widths (55cm/75cm /100cm) which is great because I can work with them all at once using which applicable for each area, this also reduces waste which is never a bad thing!ģ. Convenience - I LOVE anything that will make my job easier whilst maintaining/improving the standard of my work. These houses can go decades between redecoration and the plaster-work is extremely temperamental, they need something exceptionally solid and sturdy, Wallrock is exactly that.Ģ. Strength - I work in a lot of older properties and I can use this with complete confidence knowing it will stand the test of time because it wont’ become dry and brittle like woven paper. “Over the past 13 years as a decorator I have hung miles of conventional lining paper, but the minute I tried Wallrock Fibreliner I knew it was something special! I can honestly say I wouldn’t DREAM of using conventional living paper again, and here’s why…ġ. #BEST LINING PAPER TO COVER BAD WALLS PROFESSIONAL#We chatted to Matt McKeown, a professional decorator in Lancashire, who has offered his perspective on why he much prefers Wallrock Fibreliner over any other product on the market. Overall, Paste-the-Wall lining paper is a smart choice for those looking for a hassle-free and professional-looking wall treatment. It also dries faster, and since it does not stretch, it provides a more consistent and stable surface for painting or wallpapering. Additionally, it is more forgiving if you make mistakes during installation, as it can be easily repositioned or removed without tearing. Unlike traditional paper, Paste-the-Wall lining paper is easier to install, as it does not require soaking or pre-pasting. Paste-the-Wall lining paper is an innovative alternative to traditional Paste-the-Paper lining paper that offers numerous advantages. Overall, non-woven lining papers are a great choice for those seeking a high-quality and long-lasting wall treatment. Additionally, they are more breathable than traditional papers, which helps prevent mould and mildew growth. Non-woven papers are also easy to install, as they are Paste-the-Wall, and can be hung vertically or horizontally. They are durable, tear-resistant, and have a uniform texture that creates a smooth and even surface for painting or wallpapering. Non-woven lining papers, like Wallrock Fibreliner, are made from synthetic fibres and offer several benefits over traditional paper-based lining papers.

I feel I also needed the negative consequence of Dumping Syndrome if I eat too much sugar, too much fat, or things that will go through my belly too quickly. I also had a much higher BMI and really wanted the best chance possible for success for how high my weight was. The sleeve is newer and there was not as much research available. My insurance pays for bariatric surgery one time in a lifetime. I did a lot of research on the difference between both of these surgeries and for me, the best option was the bypass. Sometimes people see my before and after photos and think “wow, she looks great! It has been so smooth for her!” WRONG! ***I WANT YOU TO HEAR THIS LOUD AND CLEAR– EVEN WITH ALL THESE COMPLICATIONS– I WOULD DO THIS A MILLION TIMES OVER AGAIN AND GO THROUGH ALL OF THESE complications AGAIN TO HAVE THE LIFE I HAVE NOW*** I know, I know- this sounds like a nightmare right? I do not tell you any of this to scare you. Basically it was trying to heal and my esophagus was almost closing off. They took me in and did an EGD and balloon dilated my esophagus to stretch the area. I was having so much pain and pressure anytime that I ate or drank, even a small sip of water was super painful. I also developed an esophageal stricture three weeks after surgery. It was impossible for me to do this on my own and it was pretty painful. It was over 8cm deep with tunneling and I had to have visiting nurses come twice a day to pack it for seven weeks. It actually got so bad that they considered putting a wound vac on it to close it. I dealt with this infection for a couple months. My surgeon neglected this (not cool) and the infection got way out of control. It opened up and started draining a very abnormal type of drainage. One of the additional lap sites began to get infected five days after surgery. So I had an additional couple laparoscopic sites. They removed my appendix and had to stop the Gastric Bypass and start over – performing it slightly backwards. Instead of it being in the right lower quadrant, it was in the left upper quadrant since my intestines did not fully uncoil as a baby. This actually caused my appendix to be in the incorrect spot. Basically, my intestines did not uncoil when I was little and they were underdeveloped and “adhered” to other parts of my intestines. It is very rare and you are born with it- my surgeon had never performed bariatric surgery on a patient with intestinal malrotation. When he got in my abdomen to perform my surgery, SURPRISE! He found out that I had/have intestinal malrotation. My bariatric surgeon has been doing this surgery for about 20 years. Complications with Gastric BypassĪs I have told you all before, I am a unique little critter. But to say it has been an easy road, is an even larger understatement. To say that my life has changed since then is an understatement. On JI had Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass surgery at 3pm. I’ve almost made a list of everything you need to take with you day of surgery. I went through test after test after test including an EGD, blood work, psychiatric testing, nutritional testing with dietitians, tracking my eating habits, a physical with my primary care doctor, an abdominal ultrasound to check for gallstones, and pre-surgical testing before the day of the surgery. I began telling people in person of my decision to have gastric bypass and how I knew this was going to change my life. Once I saw the bariatric surgeon, I had made up my mind and proceeded with the next steps towards surgery. In general, I would say about 99% of people that I told about it were pretty positive and fully supportive of my upcoming appointment. For weeks, I looked up everything about weight loss surgery and was more confused than ever. After months and months of prayer, God placed it in my heart to set up an appointment for a consultation with a bariatric surgeon just to see what my options were. I could not imagine permanently and surgically altering my stomach in order to lose weight. I had heard about gastric bypass and gastric sleeve surgery and quite honestly always thought very negatively about it. In 2016, I had reached my highest weight and began praying about what I should do. Reginald Cholmondeley of Condover Hall in Shropshire, England. He came to learn more about the volume for a podcast he’s producing that will mark the folio’s 400th anniversary in 2023.įor Doran, who has been hailed as “one of the great Shakespearians of his generation,” copies of the folio have much to reveal about history, theater, and the human experience. Gregory Doran, the artistic director emeritus of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), visited The Bancroft Library last week to see an original edition of the First Folio. Without the folio, half of Shakespeare’s dramatic work - and its extraordinary influence on Western literature and culture - might have been lost to time. We might not have those legendary works or words if not for Shakespeare’s First Folio, the earliest printed edition of the Bard’s collected plays, published in 1623. From HangĪnother great exercise to build strength and create some time under tension if the athletes need to build back strength is the clean pull from the hang. If the athlete needs to work on the technical aspects of the second pull, or are learning to stay over the bar longer, or need to emphasize an aggressive second pull, then this is a great exercise variation to do. Especially, the back, traps, glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves.ĭoing a clean-pull from the block is a great way to train the second-pull from a dead stop position where the athlete doesn’t have time to build momentum. The clean pull is a great exercise to build strength and muscle all over the body. They can also get the feel of where the barbell will make contact at the top of the thighs or even the hips for some athletes depending on their grip width and arm length. Teach Beginner Weightlifters The Positions Of The CleanĪs a beginner Weightlifter, you can teach them each phase of the pull from the top down (hip, hang, below knee & floor). Tempo clean pull full#Further, it reinforces the full extension at the top of the pull before pulling themselves under the bar for the clean. The clean pull teaches the Weightlifter the correct bar path during the pull. Because the clean pull replicates the same mechanics as the clean but with heavier loads, this exercise will maximize the transfer of strength to the lift. The clean pull is a great exercise to develop strength for the clean. Bouncing The Barbell Off The Thighsīy hitting and bouncing the barbell off the thighs during the second pull will cause the bar to move away from your body and mess with your bath path. By pulling the barbell around the knees, it will also mess with your bar path in the clean. Pulling the barbell around the knees instead of pulling the knees back during the pull will lead to less leg drive and a change of back angle where staying over the bar is no longer possible. Make sure to drive/push from the full foot until you pass the knees with barbell before extending onto the balls of the feet when reaching a full extension. This could lead the athlete to drive forward onto the toes instead of straight up causing the athlete to not reach a full extension and jumping forward into the lift if they had to perform a clean. Focus on getting the technique right before adding weight. Therefore, going too heavy too soon usually results in poor positioning of the back when performing the pull and therefore, not mimicking the way they would clean. You want to be doing the clean pull the exact way you would do the pull when you clean. Once the slack has been removed through creating full body tension, lift the barbell in one fluent movement and accelerate the movement as the barbell starts passing the knees instead yanking it off the floor. If you take your barbell and put on any plates then gently pull the barbell vertically without lifting the plates, you’ll see and feel there is a very small movement. In order to alleviate this issue, you must keep tension on the barbell before initiate the pull by taking out the slack of the bar. When the athlete aggressively jolts the barbell from the ground this will cause them to lose tension in their back resulting in tension in their arms making the movement slow and sluggish. This causes the athlete to not fully extend at the top of their pull and not generate maximum power from the exercise. Having the shoulders behind the barbell in the starting position, which often results in pressure being on the heels, will negatively impact how much force you can generate from the floor in your pull. Starting With The Shoulders Behind The Bar Or Pressure On The Heels These are common clean pull mistakes that will be in sequential order from the starting position through to the full extension. IPAs were first brewed in the late 1700s in England for transport to the British colony of India. Saint Arnold Brewing Company donates a portion of the proceeds of this beer to the Galveston Historical District for preservation of this ship. Ships like ELISSA were used in transporting IPAs to India. This beer is named after ELISSA, a tall ship now moored in Galveston. Actually the RO system improved all of our beers. This way, we can recreate the brewing water of anyplace in the world. We then can add back only the minerals that we want. Reverse osmosis takes the water coming into the brewery with about 300-500 ppm dissolved solids and strips it down to about 5 ppm. It was not until we installed our reverse osmosis system that we could do so. We had wanted to brew an IPA for several years, but our water was too high in calcium carbonate which tends to impart a harsh bitter to such beers. There were 17 people in Houston who loved it and they complained bitterly when we corrected the recipe. While quite tasty for an IPA, it wasn't what was intended and we noticed all the non-hopheads (the majority of people) at the opening party making funny faces. When our first production batch of Amber Ale was released, we discovered that we had inadvertently brewed an IPA. #Homebrew store houston movieLater in the movie you can spot the characters drinking Amber Ale at the Pig Stand. (The location is supposed to be a bar in San Francisco but it's actually the Dog and Duck Pub in Austin!) Also, in The Evening Star, you can spot Juliette Lewis' character's boyfriend in a Saint Arnold front-logo t-shirt. If you look for it, you can spot the Amber tap handle in the movie Miss Congeniality. Saint Arnold Amber is the movie star of the bunch. Which means we're still brewing the same Amber Ale recipe we brewed at the end of 1994! While we did tweak the recipe a little bit during the beer's first three months, it hasn't changed since then. We have heard rumors that we've changed the Amber Ale recipe. When asked how many test batches were brewed in creating the Amber recipe, Brock Wagner quickly replies, "Six." Saint Arnold Amber Ale is our flagship product and our first official brew. Especially on those crisp, fall days at the beginning of the football season in August. Research has also found this beer to be perfect for tailgating at Texans game. This, combined with the power of suggestion leads many people to inform us that this beer tastes like grass. This beer has a distinctive floral hop aroma. People rated Fancy Lawnmower Beer either a 1 or a 5, but all anyone wanted to talk about, no matter what they rated it, when they handed their questionnaire in was Fancy Lawnmower Beer. If we just averaged the totals, Golden would have won. We then went around to any parties or bars we were at and handed out these sheets to have people rate their perception of the quality of the beer with each name on a scale of 1 to 5. We made a sheet of paper with five potential beer names on it: Select, Blonde, Kölsch, Golden and Fancy Lawnmower Beer. When it came to naming the beer, we performed our typical expensive, highly sophisticated consumer research program. We developed this beer because we wanted a slightly delicate beer in our portfolio, and one with a crisper, hoppier character than the Texas Wheat.
